Please provide a mechanism through which Jira Cloud will send a Slack notification when a version is released.
This is (at least) for Kanban boards and it would be great if the Slack notification would contain the release note.

Additional Jira Software events would be useful as well such as sprint related events

[API-12] Slack notifications for Jira Software events

One of the most important events is not able to trigger an event like a notification. Whew, welcome back to the late 80ties

For anyone still following this, I was able to achieve something similar with an Automation that is trigged `When: Version released` and then uses an action to call a slack Webhook.  This has worked pretty well.

This functionality would greatly support our release notes process and inform our Customer Success and sales teams when a bug has been moved from done to released.

It would also be helpful to provide notification that a release is near it's release date and even if it becomes overdue.

Any change we can get some movement on this? It's been a while, and there's plenty of interest. It would help notify other Slack users of releases automatically, and spare the person triggering the release from resorting to messaging them by hand to let them know a release went out.
