Atlassian Status as of 17 September 2014

      Hi everyone,

Thanks so much for your votes and comments on this issue.

Atlassian is working hard on Atlassian Connect, Atlassian's strategic integration platform enabling ecosystem vendors to develop add-ons for Atlassian Cloud (OnDemand). Atlassian Connect 1.0 was released in March 2014, and you can already get access to more than 50 public add-ons today built using the platform.

Due to stability and scalability reasons, we will not bundle additional third party add-ons with our Cloud offerings. But you should feel free to contact the vendors of your favourite add-ons to let them know that you would like them to create a Cloud version of the add-on! We will do our best to work together with the vendor to satisfy this request.

Since we have no plans to bundle additional add-ons in Cloud, we are closing this issue.

      Cheers,
      Bartek

[CLOUD-4711] Bundle Column Order Gadget Plugin

Last week's upgrade to JIRA OnDemand introduced built-in column reordering in all of the standard JIRA gadgets. We hope this will satisfy the needs of everyone interested in this issue, but we'd love to hear your feedback either way.

Special thanks to cfletcher for his inspiring comment and for volunteering to be an early beta tester of the new functionality, and to pwyatt, who led the effort to build this functionality as a ShipIt Day project and ensured that it did actually ship.

            Dear Friend,

I hope I am not too forward in calling you a friend, but if I am, please accept my apologies.

I want you to pause for a moment, close your eyes, and take a deep breath.

OK, seriously. I know you didn't just do it, so do it, so re-read that last line for REAL and then come back

... Alright, now I have a question for you specifically.

What can I personally do, to incentivize you to roll this feature out to my Atlassian OnDemand instance?

Should you choose to accept this mission, you may choose one of the following as a reward:

            1. I will send you a fresh stack of unmarked bills (I'm an Eagle Scout, on my honor I will do this)

            2. In the spirit of appreciating your development efforts, I will give a Flying F%*k!.

            3. I will send official-looking anonymous letters over a long period to your coworkers, telling them that they really need to step up to the plate like YOUR_NAME_HERE has.

            4. The same as #3, except I'll send them to your boss(es) and tell them how great you are.

            5. I'll hand-select 100 LEGO pieces to play with at your desk.

            6. Are you a big Nicholas Cage fan? Have you always wanted to be playing along side Nicholas Cage in "Face Off" instead of John Travolta? I can make that happen! I will photoshop your face onto one of his movie posters. (I'll even print it, frame it, and mail it to you)

            7. I'll personally create your own logo and branding. I'll send you the artwork when it's done and even send you some sweet custom business cards too!

            8. I'll compose a new song and name it after you.

            9. Feeling lucky? How about I send you a "Surprise Box" containing something interesting or fun!

            10. Need to impress that special someone? I'll strategically send mail to addresses of your choosing. These will be "intended" for you but will be "accidentally" sent to their address instead. Maybe I'll send them to you and you can leave them around your house? Did you "accidentally" miss that bank statement about your $7,330,107.22 trust fund account? Are your ex-lover's unwilling to let you go, even though you gently and lovingly let them go years ago?

I am not some annoyed customer, I am a happy customer. I am dead serious on this. I am a fellow developer and I manage development projects as well as work with awesome developers for a living.

You are a good person. Now help me show the world that thinking outside the box actually works.

            Sincerely,

            Cody Fletcher

We are looking at moving from jira enterprise hosted to ondemand and not having this plugin available in ondemand is a challenge for us, what else can I do to help get this plugin bundled in ondemand?

Can't believe it's not already part of it. Really. These small details make a huge difference when trying to convince others to use JIRA.. Please add this!!!

This is some pretty basic functionality that is available many areas in JIRA but seems to have been skipped on the filter result gadget.
