Issue Summary
On Confluence Cloud, you can enable Any active user can view this space, which, would allow everyone to access it (licensed and unlicensed users). Although this permission works and the users are able to access the Space and its pages, licensed users (logged users) can access pages from the Space, but can't search for them (quick and advanced search).
The search won't include pages from Spaces that the user is only able to access because of the JSM integration "any active user can view this space" setting in JSM is enabled.
Note: This bug only affects licensed users. Unlicensed users are expected to not be able to search for pages within Confluence (only in the JSM portal)
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a space
- Create a JSM project
- In JSM, go to project settings > knowledge base and click on Link Space
- Upon linking the created space in Confluence, go back to Confluence and create a page
- Create a second page and add the label, e.g: batman
- Create a test user with licensed permissions to JSM (agent) and Confluence (e.g: confluence-user)
- Go to Space Settings > Space Permissions and confirm the Any active user (padlock icon) is there
- Make sure to not add the group confluence-user group to this space (Or remove it if it was added automatically)
- Make sure to not grant individual permissions for the user to this space
- Check the page in Confluence and in the KB article link (JSM project > Knowledge base> Articles) to make sure you have access to the page
- Try to search for the page in the quick search by its title
- Try to search for the page in the advanced search and filter by space by the page title
Expected Results
The page should be included in the search results, as the user has access to it.
Actual Results
The page is not returned on the search results.
Workaround
Grant view permission to this user on this Space.
Hi, bf0a2e05c901 It seems to be permission issue. Can someone in your team help take a look? Thanks
