Issue
A customer may have product request feature enabled and configured to require admin approval for users to create products. However if there is a failure in any downstream system that evaluates product requests settings, then the activation is allowed.
So even if admins configure restrictions through product requests they may see products appear in Discovered Products from time to time.
When this happens admins are not able to identify how the activated discovered product was able to bypass product requests.
Suggestion
In Discovered products include additional details about the discovered products.
- Which activation surface was used to activate the product.
- If the activation surface is covered by product requests
If this type of information is not possible to be retrieved, then a message or an indicator to show that activation was a valid activation or not.
