      Atlassian Cloud should support the ability to take profile information/data from external sources, so that they aren't dependent on the configuration set within https://id.atlassian.com

            I believe this issue is a duplicate of ACCESS-822 – Support more synced attributes for SCIM User Provisioning which has more votes.

            I recommend that watchers of this issue vote on and watch the above issue. So that votes aren't split, I believe this ticket should be closed, but I will wait a week before taking any action in case anyone disagrees. Thank you!

            Definitely a good idea, especially in the context of native G Suite integration. I would like my Atlassian profile to be populated from G Suite Directory, including the avatar picture.

            This was created for me by Atlassian Support so I'll add a bit more information...

            Goal: we'd like to standardize employee data across our toolset.  Most tools provide a way to push information but Atlassian is lacking in this department.

            We'd like to push: photo, full name, nickname, manager, title, IM URL, personal URLs, OOO/PTO info, etc.

            Most important of these is profile photo.  This humanizes people and tends to improve communication between employees, especially when a Jira issue interaction leads to an in-person interaction between people who have yet to meet.

            FWIW, our particular scenario requires that we pull the above info from our HR system which is Workday.
