I've worked with a few customers who have expressed the need for Access to key in on another unique identifier, rather than just e-mail, for Atlassian account creation. For example, employee ID maybe? Some customers are having issues where users with multiple emails are getting duplicate Atlassian accounts, which causes confusion and licenses being consumed unnecessarily.
We would absolutely like this - we work with a large number of external partners and prefer to manage them all through our IdP. This would allow us to map their accounts to UPN instead of e-mail, giving them a unique ID in Atlassian's cloud.
