            Atlassian plans to offer Atlassian Access customers the ability to enforce SAML Single Sign-On (SSO) enforcement on external users (i.e. users that are on domains that are not verified under your organization). We plan to make this available as part of an [early access program in Q1 2024|https://www.atlassian.com/wac/roadmap/cloud/enforce-sso-for-external-users-eap?p=0c383c38-90]

            *If you are interested in joining this EUS SSO EAP please register your interest* [here|https://externalusersecurity.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/3/group/4/create/10015]{*}. Please note we have limited space in the EAP and will be evaluating each customer who applies, we will notify selected customers on a rolling basis.{*}

            *We are still on track to release this EAP to selected customers in Q1 2024 by March. Please keep posted for further updates and monitor your EAP tickets.*

            This is planned as an enhancement to the [external user security feature|https://support.atlassian.com/security-and-access-policies/docs/control-how-users-outside-your-organization-access-products/], wherein the currently supported method of 2FA is a one-time password (OTP) sent to external users via email.

            Currently it is not possible to enforce SAML SSO for "external" users - users who are on domains that are not verified under your organization. We will use this ticket, in conjunction with [our public roadmap|http://www.atlassian.com/roadmap/cloud], to communicate updates about the availability of this feature.
