Project email address configuration does not recognize G-Suite domain verification

Steps to Reproduce

1. Connect your Atlassian Cloud with your G-Suite domain.
2. Configure your domain SPF/DKIM records as per this documentation
3. Set a Project email address.

Expected Results

IF SPF/DKIM records are well configured, the project email validation will pass and it should start working right away.

Actual Results

The project email address will show an error: Domain claimed failed for this domain

Notes

As outlined in the documentation, the verification should not be required in G-Suite domains:

If G Suite is enabled, the domain is managed by G Suite and does not require a Domain Verification. Continue with next step...

Contact the Atlassian Cloud Support in order to have the workaround applied to your JIRA.
