Provisioned groups can be used for permission settings in Confluence. When a group gets deleted via provisioning the linked Confluence permission also gets wiped out. On large scale setup, deleting groups from the third party active directory may sometimes occur.

Suggestion

• Allow to preserve the groups on the site level if the membership is not empty.
• Notification of such events. ie. Log an event on the org audit log when the group is deleted via provisioning but preserved on the site. Org audit log can then be monitored via APIs.
