Consider officially supporting SAP IDM as IdP

      Summary

      According to this documentation Atlassian only officially support the following IdP's to integrate Atlassian Cloud apps with SAML:

      Azure
      Okta
      Onelogin
      Bitium
      Centrify

      Suggestion

      As more enterprise customers join our Cloud offering, it would be nice for those who use SAP as their ERP to have support to integrate SAP SSO solution (SAP Identity Management) with Atlassian apps.

            SAP Identity Management can be used as identity provider for Jira and Confluence user and authority groups with a Jira Connector for SAP IdM. Known as SECMENDO.connect for JIRA.

            While this is a great feature request, we have decided we will not be working on providing support for Ping Identity as a support identity provider in the immediate future. However, if anything changes, we will reopen this issue and provide new updates. In the meantime, if you would still like to set up SAML single sign-on with SAP IDM please review the instructions to do so here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/saml-single-sign-on-943953302.html.
