Adding space permissions for a user via XML-RPC instead adds permissions for a gorup

When trying to add space permissions via the remote API, if a username is specified as the "remoteEntityName", instead of adding space-level permissions for the user, they are added for the group (despite the fact that the group doesn't exist).
