Github repository cannot sync in JIRA when new tags are created from Github

      The following error is thrown when attempting to sync:

org.eclipse.egit.github.core.event.EventPayload cannot be cast to org.eclipse.egit.github.core.event.PullRequestPayload
java.lang.ClassCastException: org.eclipse.egit.github.core.event.EventPayload cannot be cast to org.eclipse.egit.github.core.event.PullRequestPayload
	at com.atlassian.jira.plugins.dvcs.sync.PullRequestPayloadGitHubEventProcessor.process(PullRequestPayloadGitHubEventProcessor.java:24)

      Steps to reproduce:

      1. Go to the repo in Github, navigate to releases (between branches and contributors) , then click on "draft a new release". Fill in the version number, a title and a description. Add a new tag. Then publish the release.
      2. Go back to the DVCS accounts in JIRA and resync the repo. Error appears as per above.

      Tried to delete the DVCS account in JIRA and re-add, didn't help. Also tried to delete the Releases created in the Github UI, didn't help.
