Resolution: Won't Fix
NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Cloud. Using JIRA Server? See the corresponding suggestion.
As many of us use JIRA in our projects and as the startscreen is such a nice worklpce environment it would be really great if there could be the most important Due Dates/Milestones displayed e.g. in a portlet.
I want to suggest following useful addition to JIRA:
- Project Administration Page
- add date-fields to the relaese box
- at least two date fields are necessary : (1)start test, (2)delivery
- these date-fields schould then be displayed in the road map and the change history
- add a new control (like the release-control)
- Here you can enter 'Important Project Dates' (e.g. Milestones, Meetings, ...)
- Information to be entered per date: Name, Date (e.g. Trade Fair, 1.Oct.2004)
- So you can create a list of dates
- These dates should then be displayed in a new portlet
- The new portlet should only show the next 5 upcoming dates
- So every teammember always knows whats coming up
What do you think?
I would guess the effort should be medium to implement this, as this is a pretty isolated addition to the system not affecting that many other components.
