As Confluence can already use JIRA's user management component, it would be great if JIRA could use the Confluence user management component.

This has been requested by a few customers already.

This would be a very good feature for our use. We have two confluence unlimited academic licenses and are evaluating jira for research projects.

We are now planning to use the new Crowd product to enable Jira and Confluence to share the same users and groups.. We are still testing but it looks like it will be a good solution.
