Our system uses a bunch of custom fields to track things like doc need/release note need, etc. I find it annoying that in order to turn one of these flags off if an issue is closed with them on, I need to reopen the issue, then change the flag, then reclose the issue. It would be MUCH better if admins could edit Closed Issues.

You can set up the project's workflow to allow editing of closed issues, but I don't see how you could restrict to just admins.

Great! This is good information to have, and I will be making the change on our system!

I'd like to see this as well. As a general policy we don't want closed issues to be editable, but there's a bunch of unassigned closed issues that we want to assign just so that we can turn off "allow unassigned issues."
