Often we need to bulk assign issues to either the reporter or the project lead - for example when a team member leaves, all their issues need reassigning. For project lead this has to be done per project, and for reporter, per issue. Needless to say, this is time consuming.

This would be much quicker if the bulk assign operation had options to automatically assign to the project lead or reporter. This would ideally work across multiple projects.

This would also be useful for individual issues via the Operations menu in the left-hand navigation bar.

Martin,

If you have your projects Default Assignee set up, you can specify Austomatic as the assignee and it will automatically assign the issue to the default.

Unfortunately though, assigning to the reporter is a little more difficult, this would still need to be done an issue by issue basis.

FYI. The Operations section is now plugable, so if you want (or others) you can now write a simple plugin to do this.

Cheers,
Nick
