This may also relate to JRA-898. If release notes are available, and external users are associated to the issue, JIRA could notify of the available solution after it is released.

Chris Gross added a comment - 10/Jul/03 10:54 AM
This would be great. One note: JIRA could determine if the bug has "Affects Versions" contains versions that have been released. If no "Affects Versions" have been released then it shouldn't be on the release notes. In other words, bugs found and fixed during a development cycle that haven't been released to customers shouldn't be included.

I see we have several votes, but this issue is not scheduled. Automating well-written release notes is an important feature of release control.

Tim Jones added a comment - 29/Oct/03 09:33 AM
This issue seems like it would be a part of JRA-107?

Adam van den Hoven added a comment - 12/Nov/03 02:04 PM
This should definately be related to JRA-568

It seams that this feature has been developed in 2.6...
