When adding a project stats portlet, you can see the list of _all_ custom fields, not just the ones for this project.

      We have 4 fields called : Business Area , all single selects with different values, each used by a different project.
      When adding a project statistics portlet, you get a dropdown with all 4 (Business Area ,Business Area ,Business Area ,Business Area ) .
      The user has no way of choosing the right one .
