Some people like to print the issues that are created in Jira.
The date created en date updated show today or yesterday if an issue is recently created. That is not very usefull of ou keep the printed ciopy as a reference. You have to wait for two days before you can print the issue if you need the dat it was created.

You're right, a relative date doesn't make much sense on a printed document. For the next release (3.3) I've added an option which lets one disable 'relative' dates completely, but the proper solution is to print an absolute date when a 'printable' view is requested. I've updated the issue summary to reflect this.

In JRA-10404, the word and full content views of an issue contain the absolute date of an issue. I am investigating how we handle printing a single issue.
