There seems to be a bug in sorting. I used the updated recently filter and sorting was not entirely ok . See screenshot.The last updates to these two Issue were made by linking.

The problem was that when linking an issue and not making a comment we changed the updated date but did not reindex the issue within the lucene indexes. Since we search and sort based on the indexes, this meant that the data from the db had the correct updated date but the index was out of date. The work-around for this is to reindex jira, and this is fixed for 3.3.
