Do you have any idea when it will be done?
This hasn't been scheduled yet, so unfortunately we have no idea.
Please try to get this in.
At the moment Ive got management complaining that we can force the developers to log time so Jira is not a viable option. They cant log it when resolving an issue and its apparently too hard to use the "Log Work Done" Suggesting to them that it should be part of their workflow doesnt seem to help so I am really stuck on this. Having the "Log Work Done" option available throughout the workflow of an issue is very important to our team. It looks like I'm not the only one, either.
This issue has been open for a long time – what's the plan on getting it resolved? this has become a major feature that we would love to see in future updates ASAP. Without it we are pretty much unable to use the worklog feature.
Is this feature there now in the roadmap? I don't see it in 3.9 though.
We do want it as part of a work flow. Just making the Time Spent a field that we can use on custom screens would be a first good step, but then making it required or not, should solve the main problem of this ticket. How soon will this be accomplished? It is pretty critical for anyone wanting to use Jira as a time keeper vs implementing a separate time and billing system.
I agree with the rest of the commenters here. With the number of issues that come through our system, it is difficult to explain why users should have to take an extra 3-5 clicks to track their work when it seems (to them) like it could easily be done when they resolve the issue (during the workflow transition.) Is there any update on this? Has this change been scheduled?
