When the work log is created, an option list is presented where I can specify who should be able to see the work log. If a user is not a member of the allowed group, he/she shall not get notifications and shall not be able to see the job log, even he/she is the createor of the issue.

This works fine in the ´job log, but in the change history the timespent values are visible for other users and groups.

Unfortunately this makes us the job log function unusable, because we have to hide the details for user specific work log.

Protecting the time trakcing fields (time estimates and time spent) from certain users is addressed by the linked feature request.

Please let us know if the linked issue does not meet your requirements and we will reopen this issue.

The related issue is much larger than this smaller report. Limiting visibility of logged work almost works.

It is not visible for users outside the specified group, BUT it is visible in the change history for all users. Work logs should be hidden here too. Oh, and I'm on 3.0.3 enterprise too.

I was a bit too fast there. It would also be good if the Remaining estimate and the Time spent fields were hidden for persons not able to see the work log.

I agree, hiding time tracking information from certain users is a larger concept and will need quite a bit of work to implement. As this is a popular feature request we are hoping to attack it in not too distant future.
