New and Improved 3.13 Beta. Highlights: Shareable filters and dashboards and lots of other goodies. Any feedback can be raised as JIRA issues in the JIRA project.
It would be nice to assign a common dashboard for a specific group. For example admin could configure a dashboard for the manager that get the overall statistic and developer could see the assigned to me portlet. Now the dashboard is user customizable. Every user should configure his own dashboard (which is great), but it would be interesting to set a "default" one per group of user.

I think there might be a problem implementing this feature: What about users belonging to different groups with different default-dashboards? It would be hard to merge all defaults into one dashboard. The only solution I might think of to show a portal-tab for each group with a default-dashboard. I. e. if user John is member of Groups Summer and Winter he will see the tabs:
Dashboard | Summer | Winter
and perhaps he might decide which of them should appear as default on every log-in.
Meanwhile I think issue JRA-2509 would be easier to implement and sufficient also to solve this issue as one can advise group members to add the shared Dashboard as portal-page. What do you think?

If we could just share dashboards per group and have a person with multiple group memberships have one tab per dashboard they participate in that would do it nicely.
