I like to have due-dates/scheduled release dates for versions. It helps us (using a tight schedule) in knowing when all issues of a certain release should be fixed.

When creating a version, add a description of what is going to be in that release (i.e. improve usability, add release notes), so people know what is coming.

Yes, we would also like this functionality. We use codenamed versions until the version is released and given an actual version number. It would be nice to be able to describe the code named version.

We would like to see the version desciption (available since 3.0) to be propegated to the rest of jira. E.g. Road map, release notes, and possibly also in fix for and affects drop downs.

Yes, many users ask me for this possibility...
And another one : which components are modified in the version ?

Hank Roark added a comment - 29/Sep/06 06:11 AM
I want to be able to add additional information for each affects version selected. For example, if I say that this issue affects versions 1.0 and 1.1, I want to be able to mark 1.0 as found by a customer, name the customer and I want to be able to make 1.1 as found by beta testing, etc. Then I want to be able to report on this data.

I'd like to see any number of dates available for each version. Then you could add more as necessary. Some examples:
All Features Finished, Release Candidate, Beta, Alpha, All Features Implemented. Plus it'd be nice to have "Target" and "Actual" dates.
