    Description

      When entering new issues with Scheduling turned on, the 'due date' format is frequently a cause of pain. It is hardcoded to d-MMM-yyyy (in CreateIssueDetails.java), a format that is universally unintuitive, and this cannot be changed without recompiling JIRA.

      A catch is that the due date picker needs to work, no matter what the date format is.
