Add a way to add custom project properties. These could be of type string (<255 characters), text, number, boolean, date.

The value of these properties could be set/used by jelly scripts for example.

This would also be useful for storing code location (CVS etc).

Bart Selders - 05/Jan/05 05:17 PM
Project meta-data could be used for sorting and filtering projects as well, either in a portler or as customization. For example: show all projects with field.xyz="customer related"

Scott Farquhar [Atlassian] - 05/Jan/05 05:46 PM
I think that this would be better implemented as project level custom fields, rather than simple properties.

Olaf Kaus - 24/Jul/06 05:36 AM
I thing the "project level custom fields" is a great idea. You have the opportunity to assign values like: project costcenter, unit and other useful properties. please implement this feature!!!

Imran Ahmad - 20/Feb/07 12:12 PM
This would be a great addition - similar to how "User Properties" were introduced on 3.7. This would greatly open up integration with in-house systems as well.

Indah Leo - 04/Apr/08 09:59 AM
Different projects may have different information to capture. This would be a useful addition to the administrator tool!
