JIRA installs correctly under WS per user notes and mail list

On first entry to an uninitialized DB, shows a blank screen instead of the expected setup screen

After excluding the sitemesh exclude directive per user comment:

<filter-name>sitemesh-exclude</filter-name>
<url-pattern>/secure/*</url-pattern>
</filter-mapping>

the application starts and behaves relatively correctly but with only partial display of portlets and no styling.

A screenshot is attached (if attachment enabled)

Image shows actual screen display without styling applied. HTML modified before image capture to keep project details confidential

We have the same issue.

This applies to WAS 5.0.1 and upwards and is demonstrated by the failure of both redirect tests on the sitemesh testsuite : both return a blank page.

Can anyone verify whether this works on 5.0.0? Zohar - I think that you mentioned that you had it working on 5.0?

We are in discussions with IBM to get WS fixed.

AFAIK, WS 5.0.0 and 5.0.1 both work fine with JIRA, but 5.0.2 doesn't.

Hopefully we can convince IBM to fix this.

This is a websphere bug. More information (and patch against 5.0.2) can be found here:
