Today the only way to change the default attachment size limit is to edit the webwork.properties file. This means to restart JIRA. It would be nice if this limit could be changed directly and dynamicly from the JIRA user interface so no restart is needed.

Looks like it is dynamic in build 2.5.3-#59 of JIRA so a simple update to the latest and greatest should do the trick.

Kevin,

I'm not sure where you are seeing this? I don't believe it has been implemented yet.

Bernard Durfee - 13/Jan/06 08:45 AM
If anything, maybe there should be a button that triggers the webwork.properties file to be re-parsed. Otherwise changing the max size of attachments requires a bounce of JIRA.

Sam Chang [Atlassian] - 20/Nov/07 11:09 PM
Attachment size limit is now editable by global admins in JIRA 4.0.
