How can I rename groups without deleting and recreating. It would be a pain to go through all user assignment/permission and notification schemes again.

If there was the ability to add groups to all users in another group then it would be very easy to add a new group and then delete the old group. This would cause a large reindex but group changing always will.

This issue is a dublicate for JRA-1391

Richard THIBAULT - 27/Nov/04 02:11 PM
Owen, I think that it's not the correct way, because filters or subscriptions that are using the group should work after the rename process...

Please clean the issues a little and put the the user and group renaming on your road map - not having the renaming capability is a major pain.
