this would be great... we have trouble getting developers to remember to track their time, which is really necessary to be able to gather velocity metrics per developer for future estimating, and also to really be able to track progress. if we were able to run reports on the developers, we could ask the offending individuals if they really only worked 12 hours last week.
In the developer workload report, I would like to see "the number of hours already worked on an issue". Right now that report has "projects". I would like to see this broken down into issues and how much time has been spent working on this issue. This should also be a column that is available to added in the "issue navigator column" screen as "total work logged". This would allow me to output an excel file with this information in it.
Also, I want the numbers of hours worked on "Project ABC" between "this date" and "this date" which can be filtered by developer. Right now there is only total hours worked by project. This functionality is essential for my company. Our developers need to work multiple projects, so a by-project time report is not very useful. There are many uses for this feature, some of which are mentioned above.
There is a plugin which provides this functionality, but it has caused JIRA to crash and is thus unusable for us. For now we are using a script to pull this information directly out of the database. Unfortunately, because of the limitations in JIRA's time tracking support, our project managers are largely displeased with JIRA. It has some great features, but this has become a very annoying problem for us. |
