It would be helpful for a supervisor or administrator to be able to log work for someone else. Right now, you can only log work for yourself.

This should probably be configured as a separate permission, so that only certain people could log work for others.

This is related to JRA-1669.

Seems like it would be a no-brainer to link this security-wise with the Assign permission. Voted.

Does anyone know why this issue hasn't been raised in priority? It's really quite important for fulfilling our needs and I would have thought that others looking to use jira for time reporting would have a similar need.

I was wondering if there were another issue that would solve the problem in a different way which was getting attention instead. I can't find it, but can anyone else shed light on that?
