A Microsoft Smart Quote of some description is not being stripped by JIRA prior to entry, and both the old XML view used for the Confluence JIRA Macro, and the RSS 2.0 view, the key sequence is breaking the XML renderer.

breaks XML-RPC API too:

Caused by: org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: Character reference "&#56256" is an invalid XML character.
