JIRA Servers: JIRA 3.12.2 Enterprise, both JAC and my test instance.
Browser Clients: Firefox 2 and Safari on OS X, IE7 on Windows XP

  1. Disable JavaScript.
  2. Add a comment to an issue. Because JavaScript is disabled, JIRA displays a separate Add Comment screen, rather than appending the comment text box to the end of the normal browse issue screen.
  3. Click on the Cancel button.

It does nothing. It should take you back to the browse issue screen.

None of the Cancel buttons work when JavaScript is disabled.

Sad, but true! Useless Cancel button! Cancel buttons are taken from the real of windows applications. On the web there is no need to "cancel" anything... simply click a link that will take you away from current page.

I personally think that if we cannot make something work without JavaScript, it should not appear on the screen - feature disabled, i.e. it should not be rendered. Otherwise it's just a useless clutter.
