This is Korean Partner, Goldpitcher and one of our customer requested additional excel export function.
1. Excel export with image or screenshot included in itself as object not link.
2. Excel export with attachments files included in itself as object not link.

I think this is not that easy but it is useful under offline environment.

Cheers.

This could also increase the size of the Excel download as if there are a large number of images, they could take up quite a bit of space.

I am also not sure, if it is possible to embed arbitrary files into Excel. I believe images are possible, however, I am not sure about other files.

Please note that at the moment, our Excel (and Word) exports are actually HTML files, which Excel (and Word) can read. We might have to migrate the export to produce actual MS Excel binary formats, which will take quite a bit of work. Given our current workload, I am not sure when we will be able to address this.

For more information on the way new feature and improvement requests are scheduled please see:

Cheers,
Anton

Hi Anton

Happy new year and thank for your cooperation.
I fully understand your comment.

I hope it will be added to JIRA feature in some near future.

Cheers.

Luke

Hi Luke,

Happy New Year to you as well!

> I hope it will be added to JIRA feature in some near future.

Given our current workload, unfortunately, we will probably not be able to get to this issue for quite some time. The only thing I can suggest at the moment, is looking into extending JIRA to meet this need.

Thanks,
Anton

It would be great if this could be fixed. Currently, our QA team has to cut and paste multiple screenshots for hundreds of issues for bug reports to be sent to users who may not yet have access to JIRA (also in Korea).

It would save QA alot of time not having to do this. I hope this can be addressed in the not too distant future as well. I think these two are the same issue...http://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-14575

Also, if an issue contains multiple images, no link appears in the exported excel file, only the image name in plain text: i.e. jirascreenshot.jpg1, jirascreenshot.jpg3
