When we changed format for the dates in the search requests we used the rewrite filter to change these. We did the field part for dates but not the sort part.

E.g. the following will cause an ACK.

/sr/jira.issueviews:searchrequest-xml/temp/SearchRequest.xml?updated%3Aprevious=-1w&tempMax=15&reset=true&sorter/field=datecreated&sorter/order=DESC

It doesn't like datecreated.

We also need to ensure that we use new field names when we generate a Permlink on Issue Navigator for a filter that sorts by date created, last updated and due date.

The fix for this issue has not been able to make it into JIRA v3.12. We are hoping to incorporate it into v3.12.1. As of writing however, there are 163 items scheduled as Fix For v3.12.1. We will not be able to include all of them.
