Standard fields in predefined panels are grouped logically, not alphabetically.
Custom field cannot be organized the same way.

They go in alphabetical order (see screenshot) which is not convenient -

  • Closed User field goes before Resolution User
  • Last ... Date fields are in the middle of the panel, mixed closed and resolution dates together
  • Participants are not where are want to see this field

Sergiy,

I see what you mean. To do what you are after, I guess we would have to allow the administrator to specify the exact order for the custom fields.

Our long term plans are to rewrite issue navigator to be more dymamic, to allow easier filtering when there are a lot of fields. We are hoping that a rewrite will address other issues, such as which custom fields appear when (i.e. depending on which project/issue type is selected). Due to this, I am afraid, we cannot promise if we will address this issue.

Cheers,
Anton
