Is it possible to have an Issue Age Field whereby the age is determined by (current date - created date).
The field would be measured in days.

Hi Melvin,

At the moment there is no field such as this. However, of you have a look at the jira-toolkit:
http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRAEXT/JIRA+Toolkit
there is a field called 'Days since last comment', which is a calculated custom field.

You can use the 'Days since last comment' as the base for the Issue Age Custom Field.

Cheers,
Anton

Hi Anton,

I've taken a look at the Toolkit plugin, but the org. guys using this tool thinks that it is far better to have a numeric field that serves this special function.

However, I think this would be a good thing to add in the future release.

Hi Melvin,

I am glad the information was useful.

When coding a custom field you can make it numeric if you wish. I was just suggesting that you can get ideas from the 'Days since last comment' field. You do not have to follow it to the letter.

Cheers,
Anton
