We use the lastest version of Jira. We currently use one project as our development project and others to support the cycle of issue management and suggestions. I need to be able to assign project lead and project team members as roles to each 'version' as in essence the versions are sub-projects. I can't find anything immediately logged for this.
  1. Can you advise what I could do?
  2. Or could this functionality be added?

Thanks. Annastashia

Project roles in JIRA are a project level thing. You can not differentiate a role by a version. The lead can be handled by project components, but not the different team members.

Perhaps you could create a project category that will be the "Top level" project and each project within the category can act as a version (sub-project). This is not ideal as searching will be a bit strange.

There is not really any way, at the moment, to directly support what you are after.
