there doesnt seem to be a way of finding out a users username unless you are an administrator?
would be nice to be able to search on a users first name or surname, or even a quick way to lookup a users username??

This is especially painful during a search/filter by specific assignee. If I can't perform a lookup in the assignee field, or have a drop-down (probably not feasible if many users), I must go to the user page, find and then return to perform the search.

This is fixed in 2.1 with the new popup user picker.

Cheers,
Mike
