It would be usefull to me, to have possibility to create a custom field type user as a drop down list.
Popup picker is not ergonomical and shows all system useres and need special permission.

I would like to show only 'project users' and don't need any specially permission.

Maybe it is possible to create it as a plugin or someting else?

Best regards
Pawel.

Hi Pawel,

You can implement this as a custom field, all custom fields are plugins. I have linked this to some related issues. Thanks for the input.

Dylan

Can I get any example of custom field plugin.
Maybe "Assign to:" source code?

Pawel,

You should have access to the full source code already from the website - http://www.atlassian.com
Simply login with the user who the license is attached to and you should have an option to download the source.

In there you will be able to see the source the Assignee field, though technically it is not a customfield (it is a system field), though they are very similar.

Cheers,
Nick

Realistically this would be something very easy to create as a custom plugin which I will probably do but still voting for it as a drop down user list is something that Atlassian should ship in the core.
