I would like project administrators to be able to log work for individuals who own issues. Ideally, they would be able to select which user the work that is being logged was carried out by, and on which day it was carried out.

It would also be great if every user was able to specify the date that the work they are logging was completed on. I know my guys tend to go in and update the work log against their issues once a week. so, in the time tracking reports it looks like they did all their work on the Friday.

I'm disappointed that this has so few votes. I'd really like to use jira as our main time reporting system, but we really need the ability to record time of behalf of others.

This would be when developers are off-site and can't get access to jira or to record time such as sick leave, when the manager needs to record time on behalf of a subordinate.

Sounds like this duplicates JRA-1676. We'd really like this too.
