Just FYI: I was able to fix this by changing the BODY (you guys need to modernize your XHTML) tag to font-size: medium, as well as a couple more fixed sizes in there.
Chris,
Thank you for the note. We are working on improving our HTML and CSS. Ideally we would like fonts and colors to be easily customisable. We actually have a Japanese partner (imaHima) who distribute JIRA translated into Japanese: I do not remember them ever mentioning that fonts cause a problem. Could I confirm that the main problem is that the font in input boxes does not change size when the size of the normal text is changed (e.g. enlarged). Thanks, We got it from Imahima.
The issue was with the font size that you had specified in the BODY tag. It was a fixed size (11, I believe). I simply overrode it in the CSS document to be "small." This allowed the main font to be scaled, and, as a result, all others, as well. It may have as much to do with the OS version (Vista) and the monitor/graphic card version. The woman who complained to me about it is from Mainland China, and was trying the Taiwanese variant of Chinese. |
