Geoff,

Can you perhaps give me some more information? I'm not exactly clear what 'on top of the original issue' means?

Can you explain what the current functionality is, and how you would like it changed?

We can use this issue as an example as JRA-10404 has been linked to it. So when printing this (top or root) issue JRA-11244 it also includes the linked issue JRA-10404

Ahh - so what you after is to be able to print an issue, and all of the linked issues on the same page?

How about if you could view all the linked issues in the issue navigator, and then choose 'full content' view from there?

That's it.

Geoff, just as an FYI, I had this need also but was easily able to accomplish it in this way:

1) Install the custom field Multi Issue Key Searcher from the Toolkit
2) Perform a search that includes the issue(s) with all the links. You can even just type in the issue list into your new custom field (must be UPPER CASE) to generate the search.
3) If not already configured, add the "Links" column to your issue navigator.
4) Highlight the links and copy into your clipbaord
5) Generate a new search by pasting from your clipboard into the Multi Issue Key Searcher custom field. You can include the original issue as well, by appending the list to the original issue.
6) Perform your search

Voila, you now have a filter of issues that are linked to a particular issue.

(See JRA-7068 for more info on this feature).
