      NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Server. Using JIRA Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

      Currently, one will never know whether the auth-token is still valid or not unless a RemoteAuthenticationException is received. There should be a method, e.g. isTokenValid(), in the SOAP and XML-RPC API, to validate the token.
