At the moment the plugin is shipped as a simple jar file, which is missing the external jars the plugin depends on (e.g. the class: net/fortuna/ical4j/model/ValidationException). So the plugin does not work when deployed.

I guess we need to ship a zip where all the jars are contained, and tell users to place all jars in the zip into JIRA's WEB-INF/lib directory.

Anton,

What we need to do is upgrade the plugin system to use Jonathan's code which allows dependent jars to be installed.

Chat with Jonathan about it.

Scott

Had a chat with Jonathan - the new plugin system will move into JIRA, bt it will take some time to get done. I think about 2-3 weeks.

Until then we need to ensure that the Calendar plugin works (as it is released already), and the only way we can do that is by distibuting a .zip file with all the jars. We do this with the Subversion plugin already.

Hamish has already done the packaging in a zip file containing all required jars.
