I would like to have a custom field in which a selection from a primary field (Field 1) determines whether a second field (Field 2) should be shown or hidden.

Example: I have a select box (Field 1) with several options, including the catch-all "other". If the user selects "other", I'd like to show a text box (Field 2) where they can enter a description. If "other" is not selected, I'd rather not bother the user with a vestigial place-holder text field.

This is similar to the 'cascading select' custom field in which the properties of Field 2 are determined by the selection in Field 1. However, additional field types should be available to "cascade to" for Field 2, and a show/hide-cascading-field property defined for each Field 1 option.
