Links to Images in HTML Email are Secure

The links to the images and stylesheets in JIRA are secured in the webapp. We are using the NTLM authorization plugin and this causes lots of problems. When the user opens the HTML email in Outlook, they are prompted for username and password. The username and password are cached. After password changes, the user ends up being locked out of JIRA until we clear thier caches.
