The best way to achieve your desired result is to give each of these users an account in FishEye.
Actually I have an account on FishEye and I used l/p from my account to subscribe to the feed. But it asks for login inside RSS reader (Thunderbird). I don't think it is thunderbird issue since it works fine for JIRA, Confluence .
Okay, what is happening is that, when you view and RSS item, Thunderbird is showing you the remote page the RSS item poins to, and not the summary within the RSS item itself.
As Thunderbird goes to retrieve that URL, FishEye is asking for authentication (as for any web browser). If you are presented with the login page in Thunderbird, and you actually log in with "remember me" selected, then you should not be show the login screen again. Ok, this way it works, thanks!
