Currently when exporting a Confluence space there are 2 existing options to include/exclude types of content:

• comments
• attachments

It would be worthwhile providing more of these options. Eg:

• Mail
• News
• Trackback links
• Referral links
• Historical versions

While the addition of flexibility is obviously going to be worthwhile, the most compelling reason to add this option is that XML export for large spaces can be very slow. If not all content is really required, it makes no sense to insist on exporting all of it.
