    Description

NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

We've added a nifty new feature in Theme Builder 3.0 which allows theme colours to be either statically set (in the layout manager) or dynamically set (in which case they are taken from the Confluence "Colour Scheme").

Unfortunately, when the Confluence "colour scheme" is changed, there's no event triggered so we can't make our theme layouts change the timestamp in the CSS URLs to force the browser to reload the CSS (we use "cache expire" so that CSS is never reloaded unless something changes).

Is there any chance that a new event could be added to Confluence that will trigger when the colour scheme is changed? It would need to include the space key if the colour scheme is changed at space level or just empty if global level?

I've attached a collage of some of the cool effects that we can now do in Builder 3.0 simply by altering the Confluence colour scheme - no graphics were changed, just the "top bar" and "menu bar" colours It's just a shame that the end-user has to clear their browser cache (or the theme designer has to make a "fake" change to their layout) to force the CSS to be re-loaded after the colours are changed.
